To use Phone as Modem


Use your Tor Vidalia the normal way with MTN

install

Connect your phone via Nokia PC suite, MTN NIGERIA

Click on Vidalia setting, click on the Network tab, and select "I use a proxy to access the... internet"

Address: 10.199.212.2

Port: 8080

Username: web

Password: web

click ok and click Start Tor

Note it takes time to connect for 1st time

In Mozilla or other browsers

Go to tools > option > advanced > network > settings > manual proxy

HTTP PROXY: 127.0.0.1

PORT: 8118



Note Tor works best in MTN 3G zones






To use Fastlink as Modem


First before opening the Tor, plug your fastlink into the USB, open the fastlink software but don't click connect....once the fastlink starts showing Blue light, go to your windows start menu, click on Connect ...you'll see list of modems or just one...select MTN 3G or anything relating to these MTN FASTLINK 3G 3.5G

ONCE it starts conneting. if it asks for username put

if it asks for phone number or dial up number put

IT should connect

once connected open Tor...click stop Tor....click setting....click Network...click I use a Proxy to connect to the internet....

in the box for address put

10.199.212.2

there Is another box for Port put

8080

there is a drop down or JCombo button below...click on it and select

Http/Https


click save...click exit...then open Tor again

cool down till it writes connected

then go to mozila by the right down conner. click on the writing Tor disconnected in red colours to change it to Tor connected in green colour

you can now browse...
